Snapdragon Workshops offer the services of highly qualified museum professionals specialising in education within museums, galleries and outreach to schools and community arts projects. These services include designer/maker workshops, story telling, role playing, enacting, object handling and reminiscence activities for all ages and with particular reference to the National Curriculum. Specialisms include: arts, crafts, natural history, environmental sciences, social history, family learning events and groups with different abilities. We also create and provide worksheets, quizzes and other support materials for school visits to museums and galleries, and can provide preparation materials for teachers before the visit and support and themed activities post-visit.

Snapdragon Workshops is based in East Anglia but we do undertake work further afield. As well as working in various museums, nurseries and primary schools in the Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire areas, and organising private parties and workshops in East Anglia, Shropshire, and London, Recent clients have included:

Snapdragon Workshops are co-ordinated by Gemma Goodall, a qualified freelance museums and galleries educator and a qualified reminiscence worker specialising in arts and crafts, natural history, science and groups with different abilities.

    We have delivered several workshops for the Eden Project in Cornwall, each on a different theme and each between three and five day's duration:
  • Fossil Plants and Foodwebs - the evolution of the Plant Kingdom, June 2003.
  • The beneficial uses of plants throughout history - part of Eden's "Look Good, Feel Good" season, August 2003.
